The Acatife Cultural Association will celebrate its 40th anniversary in music with the live recording of the album 'Lanzarote y César' during a concert it will offer this coming Saturday, November 19, at the Jameos del Agua Auditorium.

'Lanzarote y César' will be Acatife's eighth album. Sponsored by the Tourist Centers with the collaboration of the César Manrique Foundation, it will have twelve unpublished themes and is scheduled to be released before the end of this year in CD, DVD and pendrive format.

"They rewrote the island's folklore and have become, on their own merits, references and living history of Lanzarote's music thanks to their continuous contributions," said the president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Board of Directors of the Tourist Centers, María Dolores Corujo.

For his part, the CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, encourages the island's population to attend the magical volcanic tube transformed by César Manrique "to share a good time with those who have done so much in favor of the rescue and conservation of the island's ethnographic heritage."

There are still tickets available to attend the event, which will begin at 8:00 p.m. They can be purchased here at a price of 10 euros per person.

The popular music group Acatife was founded in 1983 with the aim of deepening the knowledge and dissemination of folklore to contribute to its development. Since then, it has sung to Lanzarote "from all areas", recreating unpublished musical pieces using Canarian lyricists, musicians and arrangers.
