Children's costume contest

About 80 children participated in the Arrecife Carnival children's costume contest, held last Sunday at the Fairgrounds.

The jury awarded 'Frozen' as the best individual costume, while the couples prize went to a mime duo and the award for the best group costume went to the fantasy "The Carnival Sweets." The winners received their reward from the Councilor for Celebrations, Encarna Páez, and the Councilor for Roads and Works, Roberto Herbón.

The event kicked off with a choreographic montage by the Daniel De la Rosa Dance School, which gave way to the presenter of the event, Rafaelillo Clown, accompanied by the most characteristic animation characters in this type of celebration, such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio or Bugs Bunny.

From the Arrecife City Council they affirm that one of the "most applauded" appearances of the afternoon was that of the children's group "Los Desiguales", made up of boys and girls with special educational needs, who presented "their magnificent carnival show."

The function also featured the performance of the clown Rafaelillo Clown, who performed well-known songs from national pop.
