About 200 young people demonstrate in Lanzarote to demand action against climate change

About 200 people have demonstrated this Friday in Arrecife to demand actions against climate change, joining the world call of the '#FridaysforFuture' movement.

After concentrating on the Puente de las Bolas at 9 o'clock, the young people have left for the Cabildo, where they have put an end to the demonstration. 'There is no planet B' and 'There is more plastic than common sense' were some of the messages on the banners carried by the young protesters.

The "FridaysforFuture' movement, for which students from all over the planet have gone on strike this Friday, March 15 and have carried out protests, was born from the demands of Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old Swedish student and activist, who began to miss class to protest in the Parliament of her country seeking to raise awareness about climate change.
