The Arrecife City Council is tendering for a specialized psychological support service aimed at women victims of gender violence in the municipality, which the Department of Equality will launch soon, for an annual amount of 49,680 euros (without IGIC).
The contract will have a maximum duration of one year or until the budget is exhausted and may be extended for one more year at the initiative of the local entity.
The purpose of the intervention carried out in the service is mainly aimed at the women attended becoming aware of the violence experienced and their comprehensive recovery so that they can face their lives independently, enhancing the necessary skills to overcome the sequelae of abuse and carry out their life project.
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Maite Corujo, underlines the importance of a service of these characteristics and highlights that it is aimed at "all women who have suffered any type of gender violence, physical, psychological, sexual or economic, whether or not they have reported their aggressor and who are being cared for by specialized women's care services or social services."
The gender perspective, personalized and comprehensive care and coordination with specialized resources, as well as the confidentiality and data protection of women, will be the basic principles of a service for which the Council needs personnel with a degree in Psychology who have training in equality and gender violence and, preferably, who are women and with experience in caring for women victims of gender violence.
The deadline for submitting applications (through the Electronic Headquarters of the Arrecife City Council) will be open until April 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
