David Gómez's piano music, the light of more than 200 candles and the sound of the sea waves joined together that night to fill the bay of Arrecife with magic. The success of the proposal of the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council, "A piano & 200 candles", adds to those already achieved by the Department directed by Rafael Juan González.
"We wanted to make a 180º turn and offer citizens totally different and original shows and activities. We have several lines of work within the Area, and one of them, the most important, is to make culture available to everyone," the councilman stressed.
A romantically lit bridge, a piano surrounded by candles, an artist who knew how to transmit, live love dedications and a devoted audience were key elements for the piano concert held last night on the esplanade of the Castle of San Gabriel, made feelings were on the surface.
The show, as David Gómez recalled, is part of a tour of 40 concerts in which the candles and the chosen space play a fundamental role.
An original concert, in which the artist performed his own compositions, some of them accompanied by an accordion and in which he recalled how important it is that love and harmony are always present in everyday life.
The improvised theater hall in the Castle of San Gabriel completed and exceeded its capacity, something that David Gómez thanked the Arrecife audience for.
