Maritime Rescue has disembarked this Wednesday in Lanzarote 40 occupants of a boat, two women and four minors among them, which was previously spotted by a cruise ship 22.2 kilometers northwest of this island.
This is an expedition of 40 Maghrebi migrants (34 men, two women and four minors) who were traveling in a boat.
The Guardamar Caliope set out to meet them, whose crew completed their rescue at 11:23 p.m., being able to disembark all its members at 1:47 a.m. in Puerto Naos, in the capital of Lanzarote, as reported to EFE sources from Maritime Rescue.
This Tuesday another 196 immigrants were rescued in four boats bound for the Canary Islands, including 25 women and one girl, on a day in which the arrivals were concentrated, again, in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
