A new boat has been rescued 45 miles off the coast of Lanzarote in the early hours of this Saturday, August 13, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
53 people were traveling in the boat, including 7 women, all of sub-Saharan origin. Maritime Rescue has picked up the migrants and taken them to the Commercial dock of Arrecife where they have been assisted by the Red Cross.
According to the Red Cross, they are all in good condition and no transfer to the hospital center has been necessary.
About 420 people have been rescued in just 24 hours in the eleven boats that have approached the coasts of Lanzarote.
