A boat rescued at dawn 50 miles east of Lanzarote

60 people were traveling in the boat, including 12 women and 4 minors

A pneumatic-type boat has been rescued this Monday morning 50 miles east of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

There were 60 people traveling in the boat, including 44 men, 12 women and four children. All are of sub-Saharan origin.

They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been assisted by the Red Cross.

According to CECOES, the occupants are in good health and have not needed to be transferred to Molina Orosa.
