A boat arrives at Punta Mujeres in the early morning

Red Cross has assisted 16 people traveling on the boat

A new boat has reached the coasts of Lanzarote. The boat arrived in Punta Mujeres at around 02:00 this Sunday, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.

The Red Cross has sent a humanitarian aid team to the northern town that has assisted 16 people. All the migrants are Maghrebi, all male and three of them minors, and are in good health.

With these, there are already 9 boats that have reached Lanzarote so far this week. The last boat was rescued on Saturday morning.
