Yonathan de León has visited the transformation works of the 'Agapito Reyes Viera' football field, in the Altavista neighborhood, which "are already in their final phase and will be ready for the start of the season", reports the Arrecife City Council. Oswaldo Betancort, vice president, the Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, and the Councilor for Sports, Juanjo López, also attended the visit.
"There is little left for CD Arrecife and Altavista CF, as well as all the residents of the municipality, to enjoy a modern and accessible facility," said the mayor, who also recalled that the "work contemplates the construction of a social headquarters for CD Arrecife."
Betancort has also valued "positively" the reform of an installation "historic for Lanzarote sport." "We will get a modern football field, in which the residents of the island can enjoy many top-level sporting events," he said.
The remodeling of the 'Agapito Reyes Viera' will have, among other things, a cover for the bleachers, an element that the installation did not have at present. In addition, the current artificial turf will also be replaced, which will also be provided with a new irrigation system.
"The remodeling works also involve providing the field with general lighting appropriate to the activities that take place, as well as new electrical installations, emergency lighting, water supply and evacuation, and accessibility," says Jacobo Medina.
Medina stressed that the actions will serve to "remodel some of the services that had become obsolete." "The reform is comprehensive, and soon the city will have a modern football field with the latest generation technology," he added.

The City Council details that this work was awarded to the company Hormigones Insulares (Horinsa SL), for an amount of 1,164,220.36 euros. The intervention is included within the 'Municipal Cooperation Plan' of the Cabildo de Lanzarote in the investment items for the Arrecife City Council.
