Arrecife promotes a project for young people to get to know the emblematic places of the city

The Municipal Government is promoting different actions throughout 2024 to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife. Within this historical event, Turismo Arrecife is launching this informative project aimed at children with the aim of discovering and appreciating the main tourist spots and places most emblematic of Arrecife, in a special year in which we commemorate the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality.

Councilor Eli Merino hopes that the little ones will share their new knowledge about the origin and history of Arrecife, which was born as a port, with their friends and family.

During the 'Re-Discover Arrecife' campus, children will have the opportunity to explore places such as the Puente de las Bolas, the Castillo de San Gabriel, the Parque Ramírez Cerdá and Parque Islas Canarias, the Church and the Charco de San Ginés, and the most important shopping streets, among others.

Each visit will be accompanied by a historian, who will relate the rich history of Arrecife in two languages, Spanish and English, allowing participants to learn in depth about the historical and tourist legacy of the city.

This activity not only seeks to educate and entertain children, but also to instill in them a sense of belonging and pride in their environment. Over the next few days, the little ones will be able to immerse themselves in the history of Arrecife in an interactive and accessible way.
