Laureano Álvarez has once again written a brilliant chapter in the history of the presa canario by ensuring that Antigua, from Fencing Dogs, a specimen born in Lanzarote, has won the title of Beauty Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding a new milestone to a family that is already an international reference.
Antigua is the sister of the multi-champion Covadonga of Fencing Dogs and mother of the recent champion of Spain, Amiga, confirming that in this canine family from Lanzarote, quality is a carefully cultivated genetic inheritance.
Bred and owned by Laureano Álvarez, a figure recognized in the world for his dedication and rigor in the selection of the presa canario, Antigua begins with this award a promising journey through the international competition circuit. Currently, she is only two points away from obtaining the Spanish championship, an achievable goal that would reaffirm her position in the elite.
“Antigua's achievement is not only an individual triumph, it is also a recognition of the meticulous breeding, socialization and preparation work behind each of our specimens,” says Álvarez. “This new achievement demonstrates that passion and commitment to the breed produce world-class results. In fact, I have won more than thirty championships with my specimens, including European, world and various country championships,” he continues.
This new international success reinforces Laureano Álvarez's position as a benchmark in the preservation, improvement and promotion of the presa canario, an emblematic breed of the Canary Islands that continues to leave its mark on the most demanding competition scenarios.
