On August 9, the Local Police of Tías proceeded to arrest a man for an alleged crime of theft. The accused, E.J. S.D., is a native of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 25 years old, and residing on the island.
The events occurred in the town of Puerto del Carmen, when the victim, of Irish origin and on vacation on the island, was sitting inside an internet cafe on Avenida de las Playas. The alleged perpetrator entered and stole the bag that the victim had placed on the floor next to her feet, and then quickly fled, being intercepted by an officer who was in the area and who was alerted by the screams of the victim who had gone in pursuit.
The bag was recovered with all its contents, the value of which amounted to more than 400 euros,. The alleged perpetrator was arrested and brought to justice, accused of an alleged crime of theft.
