A 30-year-old woman has had to be transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital after suffering an incident while scuba diving off the coast of La Graciosa. Apparently, the trigger may have been a decompression, and when she came out of the water she was suffering from chest pain.
The incident took place at around 3:15 p.m., when a call alerted the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (112). The affected woman was transferred in a boat to the town of Órzola, where the medical personnel of the Canary Emergency Service were waiting.
There, the paramedics confirmed that she had symptoms of having suffered a decompression accident, and she was transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
According to CECOES, a basic life support ambulance and a medicalized ambulance, as well as agents of the Civil Guard, who were in charge of instructing the corresponding proceedings, were involved in the service.
