The impact of a vehicle against a lamppost this Friday on Manolo Millares street in Arrecife has forced firefighters to intervene and remove it due to the imminent risk of falling, as confirmed by the Consortium of Emergencies.
The events occurred around 08:10 hours and, after being alerted by the Local Police of Arrecife, the B1 and ECO3 fire crews were mobilized to the scene of the incident.
Upon arrival, firefighters carried out a risk assessment and secured the intervention area, subsequently proceeding to remove the electrical line by disconnecting the affected lamppost.
Afterwards, they dismantled and removed the damaged lamppost, leaving it deposited in a safe and cordoned-off area for its subsequent removal by the competent municipal personnel.
During the operation, a unit of the Local Police of Arrecife remained at the scene, collaborating in the safety and traffic control during the intervention.
