A vehicle caught fire on Saturday night to Sunday on Doctor Alfonso Espínola street, in Arrecife, which required the intervention of the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote.
The notice was received at 10:01 p.m. through the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security, where it was reported that a car was on fire in the vicinity of number 34 of the aforementioned road. Witnesses said that people usually stay overnight inside the vehicle.
Upon arrival, the emergency teams found the vehicle practically burned, while agents of the Local Police secured the area to avoid risks to pedestrians. The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the flames, confirming that there was no one inside the car.
During the intervention it was necessary to force the hood to disconnect the battery and avoid a possible resurgence of the fire. After verifying that there was no risk of re-ignition, the service was terminated. Meanwhile, the Security and Emergency Consortium reports that no injuries were recorded in the incident.
Agents of the National Police also attended the scene.
