Marijuana plantation in a house in Montaña Blanca

The Civil Guard of San Bartolomé arrested two people on the 15th - a woman and a man of 25 and 38 years of age - as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, for having a marijuana plantation - or cannabis sativa - in a property in the town of Montaña Blanca.

The police investigations began in mid-October, when several residents of the area told the Civil Guard several pieces of information about a possible marijuana plantation inside a house.

Finally, agents from the aforementioned main post, supported by the Rapid Intervention Group of the Civil Guard in Lanzarote and with the authorization of the corresponding Court, carried out an entry and search of the home, finding several rooms with the necessary logistics to plant several dozen marijuana plants.

The Civil Guard seized 1,300 grams of marijuana, 43 plants of the aforementioned species and 10 grams of hashish, in addition to the corresponding material for its cultivation.

Subsequently, the agents arrested the tenants of the house as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, remaining at the disposal of the corresponding Court, on guard duty, of Arrecife, together with the seized narcotic substances.
