Around 9:30 this Wednesday, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of the LZ-30 (Teguise) and LZ-408 (Nazaret) roads, near the Agroindustrial Complex of Teguise, involving two vehicles. Apparently, according to sources from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, "the accident occurred when one of the drivers ran a stop sign, hitting the second vehicle."
Civil Guard agents and two ambulances, one basic support from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), and another from the Red Cross, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they verified that the accident was minor, although the driver of the hit vehicle, an Opel Corsa, had been trapped inside. The agents and emergency personnel managed to free him, to assess and verify that, like the other person involved, who was driving a Mercedes, he only had minor injuries.
Both injured, with some bruises and discomfort, were transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, following the protocol in this type of situation.
