Two men arrested for several robberies committed in Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise

The Civil Guard of the Main Posts of Tías and Costa Teguise, have clarified at the end of last November five robberies with force, allegedly committed by two men with initials J.A.P.D. of 33 years of age and I.V.E. 37 years of age, both of Spanish nationality and with police records, all of them occurred between the dawn of November 18 and the previous afternoon in the municipalities of Tías and Teguise.

The investigation began as a result of the arrest of J.A.P.D. and I.V.E. around 07:00 hours on November 18, in the Varadero area of Puerto del Carmen, after receiving a notice from a witness who had seen them accessing a restaurant through the forcing of the access door.

The agents of the Local Police recovered a series of objects from the commented robbery, as well as other robberies carried out previously, among which are - electronic objects (PDA and mobile telephony) as well as alcoholic beverages - which after the corresponding investigation were located to their owners, resulting in being from other commercial premises that had also been forced and robbed previously.

Therefore, the investigators from both the Main Post of Tías and the Main Post of Costa Teguise, jointly carried out a study of events of similar characteristics, obtaining several indications that directly related the detainees with another five robberies with force in both municipalities, all of them in commercial premises.

Finally, the Civil Guard was able to clarify days after the detainees were placed at the disposal of the court, these new five crimes, communicating to the same Court through new police proceedings that indicated them as alleged perpetrators of new criminal acts against property carried out between the afternoon of the 17th and the dawn of the 18th of November.
