Two young men were injured with burns to the face and legs after the zodiac they were sailing in caught fire. The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. this Friday about one hundred meters from the coast of Puerto del Carmen, near the Hotel Fariones. Once alerted by the CECOES, Salvamar and Emerlan traveled to the scene.
According to Emerlan, the occupants, three young men aged 23, 24 and 28, were transferred to the Puerto del Carmen dock. Two of whom had burns on their face and legs, so they were evacuated in the NGO ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.
Salvamar remained in the area to ensure that the zodiac had sunk and there was no risk to navigation.
