Two firefighters, treated by medical personnel at the Beatriz hotel fire

Two firefighters had to be treated this Wednesday by the Canary Emergency Service. Both were working to extinguish the fire that forced the evacuation of the Beatriz hotel in Costa Teguise. One of them has been transferred to the hospital, while the other only required attention at the scene.

His colleague, however, had to be taken by ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital. According to reports from 1-1-2, this firefighter suffered a "syncope", a "fainting" from which he soon recovered, although it was decided to transfer him to Molina Orosa for a better assessment. Regarding the firefighter who did not need to be transferred to the hospital, sources from the Consortium point out that he had fallen from the ladder of the hotel's boiler. From 1-1-2 they indicate that he had suffered a minor injury that did not require further attention.

The fire occurred this noon in the hotel's boiler and caused the evacuation of all the people who were staying or working in the establishment. After more than three hours of being evicted, they were all able to return to their rooms or jobs around 4:00 p.m., after the firefighters' actions concluded.
