A small boat has arrived this Friday morning to La Graciosa. In addition, two other boats have been located at sea in the morning, one of them also near the eighth island and the other in Lanzarote, near Mala, as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium.
The arrival of the first of the boats, which arrived in Caleta de Sebo, was known about 04:25 hours, when 21 immigrants arrived alone to the town. Then, they stated that there were 42 people on the boat.
The located immigrants were initially installed in the vicinity of the wrestling field and then transferred to the dock, where they were attended by Emerlan personnel and a medical team. In addition, it has subsequently been reported that another 20 immigrants have been found, so finally 41 people from that boat have been located, including three women and six minors.
All of them are in "good general condition, without fever and without symptoms compatible with Covid. According to what they have stated, they left Safi and had been on board for two days.
As for the other two boats, one of them has been located by firefighters, by jet ski, near Pedro Barba, also on the eighth island, while the third has been intercepted by Maritime Rescue in Lanzarote, near the coast of Mala.
In the second boat that arrived in La Graciosa there are 24 people, of which one is a woman and two are minors. For its part, in the boat intercepted on the coast of Mala were traveling 27 immigrants, all of them men and adults.
The occupants of these two boats have been transferred by Maritime Rescue to the commercial dock of Arrecife, while the immigrants from the first boat that arrived in La Graciosa will be evacuated to Órzola, to be later transferred to the place designated by the National Police.
At first, the arrival of a boat to Las Conchas beach on the eighth island was also reported, but finally this end has been ruled out.
