Two young men from Seville have been arrested, accused of robbing a store in Puerto del Carmen with the complicity of the local security guard, who has also been arrested.
According to the Civil Guard, the events took place in an establishment located in the Biosfera Plaza shopping center, in Puerto del Carmen, municipality of Tías, where the alleged perpetrators of the robbery, after entering the premises, forced a display case and seized 18 sunglasses of different brands of notable commercial value and valued at 2,568 euros.
Agents from the Investigation Area of the Civil Guard of Tías initiated rapid investigations to clarify this robbery, verifying that at the time of the events the entire shopping center was closed to the public.
As a result of the investigations carried out, this same Friday the civil guards managed to locate and arrest the two material authors of the robbery, J.S.R. of 23 years old together with a minor of 17 years old, both natives of Seville. In addition, the Civil Guard proceeded to the arrest of the security guard (J.G.G. of 24 years old and native of Tenerife) who was serving in this shopping center at the time of the robbery and who knew the previous two, consenting and allowing the perpetration of the criminal act.
The agents have recovered eight sunglasses worth 1,086 euros and took a statement from the three detainees, who have been released pending appearance before the Judicial Authority once they are required by the Court of Instruction Number Seven of Arrecife.
