National Police arrest family clan that had a tele-coke service in Lanzarote

National Police agents have arrested in the municipality of Arrecife a man and three women from the same family, aged 56, 45, 24 and 23 years old respectively, with no police records, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. 

On June 6, National Police agents observed two individuals inside a parked vehicle making a transaction of money for a small white bag.

The national police officers proceeded to arrest the alleged seller, who actively resisted his arrest, causing minor injuries to two officers. In the security frisk, a total of 13 bags containing cocaine, two mobile phones and 500 euros in cash were seized.

A police investigation was thus initiated, which detected the presence of a family clan composed of the arrested man and three women, who allegedly sold cocaine on the island of Lanzarote to customers who were attended to by telephone and the drug subsequently transported and served at the place agreed with the buyers.

The agents proceeded to arrest all the members of the family clan and to carry out a home search in a house in Arrecife, where the agents found more than 200 grams of cocaine, a precision scale, cash and mobile phones.

The investigation resulted in four people arrested, a man and three women, and the intervention of 210 grams of cocaine, ten mobile phones, 9,931 euros in cash, a precision scale and three vehicles.

The corresponding police report was prepared, and the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.

The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
