The National Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the assault with a knife suffered by a 22-year-old on October 12 in Arrecife. The incident occurred on Malagueña Street in Argana Alta and the injured man had to be transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital, after calling himself requesting health assistance.
Following the victim's complaint and the account he gave to the agents, the alleged perpetrator was located and arrested a few days later, and subsequently brought to justice.
According to police sources, the arrested person was already recognized by the victim, with whom he had apparently had a fight, which triggered the aggression.
Regarding the injuries, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security indicated after the incident that the victim had an open wound with a knife in the abdomen and thigh of a serious nature, although the Police specify that the injuries were less serious than initially anticipated, and that the young man only required stitches.
