The National Police arrest an Albanian at the airport after identifying himself with a false Bulgarian passport

National Police agents have arrested a 24-year-old Albanian man at Lanzarote airport as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery. He tried to take a flight to Dublin, identifying himself with a false Bulgarian passport.

The events unfolded after police officers were alerted by a handling company, reporting that a man had appeared at an airport check-in desk with a Bulgarian passport of dubious authenticity.

The agents were able to verify that the document shown was false, so they proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery.

Police investigations were able to fully identify the detainee, a 24-year-old Albanian man, from whom his authentic documentation was seized among his belongings. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
