The National Police is investigating a video published on the social network Instagram, in which a young man appears who recorded himself, supposedly, stealing in different shops in Arrecife, as well as in the Teguise market. "You have to be as flashy as possible so they don't say anything to you," says the author in the recording.

The National Police have stated to La Voz that they are already investigating "the content and veracity" of the events seen in the recording, to verify that the robberies actually occurred and were not simulated by the young man, who is clearly seen in the video.

In the images, you first see him entering a perfumery in the capital and, after asking a shop assistant about the price of a perfume, he asks her if she believes in God. "Well, may God repay you, thank you," adds the young man, who immediately runs out and leaves the establishment with the perfume in his hand.

In another part of the video, the young man shows how he steals a soccer ball in another store in Arrecife by kicking it and throwing it into the street, to later pick it up once outside. "The perfect theft," he says in the recording, where he also appears stealing in different supermarkets, as well as eating in two restaurants, from which he leaves without paying. "Honestly, even I am amazed at how incredible this is being. I am so flashy that absolutely nothing happens," he is heard saying with laughter.

In the Teguise market, the young man takes advantage of the fact that a merchant is distracted to steal several wallets from her. Later, he goes to her telling her that he saw a thief who took them and that he found them, asking the woman to give him one for having found them. "I swear I looked at the thief and tackled him," he tells the merchant, who lets him take one of the wallets.
