The man who suffered a serious traffic accident on Saturday on the road between Yaiza and Playa Blanca died on Sunday night at the Doctor Negrín Hospital, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The deceased is Pedro Guerra, 60 years old, brother of the former councilor of the Cabildo, Plácida Guerra, and Juan Guerra.
The accident that cost the life of this Lanzarote native occurred on Saturday at 1:25 p.m. and the causes are under investigation. Two vehicles collided on the LZ-2 road, near Janubio, and one of them overturned. As a result of the collision and the rollover, this man was seriously injured.
He was traveling alone in one of the cars involved and had to be extricated and transferred by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. He was admitted to the Lanzarote hospital center in critical condition and was subsequently evacuated to the Doctor Negrín Hospital, where he died on Sunday night.
In this accident, two other people were affected, who suffered minor injuries.
