The Local Police of Tías surprises two drivers with fake driving licenses

Agents of the Local Police of Tías recently surprised two drivers with fake Italian driving licenses. The first of them was detected on June 4, when the police were carrying out a routine control on Avenida de las Playas, in Puerto del Carmen.

The agents requested the driver's license from M.A., 43 years old and a native of Mauritania, and he presented an Italian permit. Once examined, the police realized that the document belonged to a batch that could have been stolen "blank" in Italy, and later fraudulently completed.

After carrying out the appropriate procedures, the agents confirmed the falsity of the document, since there was a complaint in the Italian police since 2009. For this reason, and after the facts had been confirmed, the driver was reported to the judicial authority for a crime of document forgery and a crime against road safety for not having a driver's license.

Second complaint

The second of the permits was located the following day, also in a routine control carried out in Puerto del Carmen. The agents, after stopping a driver, A.S.R., 37 years old and a native of Seville, and after examining the Italian driving license in an "exhaustive" manner, realized that it lacked certain security measures. In this way, they confirmed that it was an "entirely false" driving license, according to reports from the Tías City Council.

For this reason, the driver was also reported to the judicial authority for a crime of document forgery.
