The Local Police of Arrecife arrested Abdellah C., of Moroccan origin and a resident of Arrecife, last Friday after threatening and insulting a woman who had parked her vehicle in the lot guarded by the aforementioned 'parking attendant'. In this regard, the mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, has stated that the police will be "forceful with this type of behavior", noting that "we intend for these people not to bother the users of these parking lots".
According to the police report, the events occurred at 10:45 a.m. on
last Friday, April 16, in the lot on La Porra Street, when an
officer was informed by a passerby that "in the lot on La Porra Street there was an individual of Moroccan origin insulting and threatening a woman".
Taken to the scene, the officer was able to observe the insults and
threats of the individual to the woman, whom the police officer asked to
step aside to try to talk to and calm the accused. However, the individual "addressed the officer with a defiant attitude, throwing the hat he was wearing on the ground and confronting him".
Faced with this, the officer requested support and proceeded to arrest the individual, who "refused at all times to identify himself, becoming increasingly nervous and kicking the officers, while also hurling insults at them, without ceasing to insult and threaten the victim".
Before being admitted to the police facilities, the officers
proceed to transfer the detainee to the Valterra Health Center, where they
issued an assistance report and detected a state of anxiety.
Municipal pool
On the other hand, the Local Police of Arrecife arrested in the early hours of this
Sunday to two individuals who were trying to steal from the Municipal Pool of Arrecife, after the warning from the cleaning staff of said pool, who
stated that they had seen several individuals who had accessed the
inside of it by breaking one of the access windows.
Once at the scene, the officers were informed, by the cleaning staff of the pool, that the individuals had already left the place through the front of the pool, "one of them being dark-skinned, one wearing all black with a hooded sweatshirt and the other with a dark sweatshirt".
At that moment, from the operational room of the Local Police, it was observed
through the traffic cameras how two individuals, who match the
physical characteristics provided by the cleaning staff, were leaving the pool through its front.
The officers began the pursuit of the two individuals, catching up with one of them at the intersection between Calderón de la Barca and Blasco Ibáñez streets, while the other was arrested on Andalucía street, finding in his possession a backpack, which contained a hammer, another backpack, and some gloves.
