The man identified as E.M.B., 32 years old and resident of Playa Honda, tried to flee when he noticed the presence of a vehicle of the Local Police of San Bartolomé. That was the reason why around midnight this Tuesday, March 4, the police officers who were patrolling the area stopped him. Initially, the young man, who was running barefoot, stated that someone was chasing him to attack him, according to the statements of the chief of police of the municipality, so he was introduced into the police vehicle as a precaution.
Subsequently, he was identified as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force by a young couple who moments before had suffered an attempted assault and the subtraction of several objects from their vehicle for a value of 790 euros.
After attempting to flee again, the agents proceeded to arrest him for an alleged crime of robbery with force, although they could not locate the objects supposedly stolen.
The suspect was transferred to the headquarters of the Local Police of San Bartolomé, where the complaint of the person affected by the alleged robbery was collected, and proceeded to instruct the corresponding proceedings, passing it to judicial disposition.
