The Civil Guard of Lanzarote will incorporate four new vehicles (one tourism vehicle and three all-terrain vehicles) within the renovation process that is being carried out by the Command of the Civil Guard of Las Palmas. The Command has presented this Thursday the 17 new vehicles, three tourism vehicles and 14 all-terrain vehicles (ATV), which will be distributed among the members of the Benemérita of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The new tourism-type vehicles, equipped with police bulkheads inside, are Citroen C4; although the bulk of the new fleet is made up of all-terrain vehicles, specifically Mitsubishi Montero (3), Toyota Land Cruiser (2) and Nissan X-Trail (9).
The incorporation of these new vehicles represents an increase of 17% of the current fleet of the Civil Guard in terms of Citizen Security. According to the armed institute, the Civil Guard's mobile park in this province travels an average of four million kilometers per year, which amounts to an average of 25,000 to 30,000 kilometers traveled per vehicle per year.
