The Civil Guard has arrested two people and investigated a third for several crimes against property. Specifically, a man and a woman were arrested for several thefts in establishments in Playa Blanca and a woman is being investigated for the alleged misappropriation of a rental car.
Last Friday, agents from the Yaiza Main Post arrested two people, with initials A.D.E.A. and Z.R.F. and of Spanish nationality, a man and a woman respectively, as alleged perpetrators of two theft crimes. The two detainees allegedly stole different items, such as perfumes and sunglasses, on December 27 and January 11, in several commercial establishments in the town of Playa Blanca. According to the Civil Guard, the value of the stolen objects exceeded 600 euros.
The agents initiated the investigations to clarify the thefts following the complaint filed by the staff of those stores. The agents managed to identify the perpetrators thanks to the recordings of the security cameras of the stores. For all these reasons, the Civil Guard arrested A.D.E.A. and Z.R.F., both with police records, as alleged perpetrators of two theft crimes. Both were placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Duty Court.
Misappropriation of a vehicle
In another intervention, civil guards from the Costa Teguise post investigated on the 27th a person with initials S.B.S., with a police record and resident in the municipality of Haría, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of misappropriation of a car under a rental agreement. This person allegedly had not returned the vehicle within the agreed period to the rental company.
The investigations began at the beginning of January, when a legal representative of the affected company brought the facts to the attention of the Civil Guard, providing documentation of the rental contract for the vehicle involved, a Seat Ibiza.
Finally, the Civil Guard located S.B.S., "recovering the vehicle and proceeding to investigate her as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of misappropriation", the Benemérita indicated. The investigated person has also been placed at the disposal of the Arrecife Duty Court.
