The Civil Guard arrested an Iranian man in Lanzarote this week who was wanted by the justice system of his country. The detainee, for his alleged connection with a tax fraud offense, was arrested by agents in the municipality of San Bartolomé.

After carrying out "a series of police investigations", explains the Benemérita, the agents of the Judicial Police of Costa Teguise managed to find the whereabouts of this man. The agents had received through the Technical Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard at the national level "the corresponding information about a person wanted by the justice system of his country". This person, who resided on the island, was finally arrested and placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court of the National Court.

This arrest has not been the only one of these characteristics that has occurred in the Canary Islands in the last week. At the request of this same Technical Unit, the Civil Guard arrested two other people in Valsequillo and Mogán (both in Gran Canaria). In the first case, it was a woman from the Dominican Republic wanted for an alleged crime against persons. The other arrest was that of a man of Polish nationality, allegedly involved in a crime against property.
