The General Corps of the Canary Islands Police has intervened in three establishments in the municipality of Yaiza that sold counterfeits of clothing brands of recognized prestige, as well as in the garage of a house where the garments were stamped, located in the same town. So far, six people involved in this operation called 'Huarache' are being investigated.
In the search of the property where this type of counterfeit was manufactured, the press machine and numerous 'transfers', which are used for heat stamping of the garments, were seized.
The intervention in the three sales premises in the Lanzarote municipality led to the removal of a large volume of counterfeit products that have been placed at the disposal of the court.
The action was carried out in coordination with the Local Police of Yaiza, customs surveillance agents and the expert from the Anti-Piracy Commission of the Ministry of Culture.
