The defendant pleads guilty to attempting to kill his roommate in Lanzarote

After clarifying some loose ends thanks to the appearance of several witnesses, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the prosecution have modified the conclusions, agreeing to request four years in prison, two months of fine of three euros per day and compensation of 21,582 euros to the alleged victim. Likewise, the accused is prohibited from communicating by any means and approaching the victim at a minimum distance of 500 meters for a total of 10 years and the payment of costs. The defense has fully adhered to said qualification and the trial has been seen for sentencing.

Initially, the private prosecution requested 12 years in prison for attempted murder, in addition to two and a half years for a crime of robbery with violence.

The events date back to March 21, 2007, when an argument allegedly began between Serbam and Huditian in the home they shared in Puerto del Carmen. As a result of this, the accused allegedly attacked his partner "first punching him in the face" and "then grabbing a baseball bat" with which "he repeatedly attacked him in the head and left hand", causing a series of injuries, fractures and contusions that took 120 days to heal, of which he had to be hospitalized for ten.
