The National Police have arrested the perpetrator of a violent robbery and illegal detention, after locking up the owner of an arcade in Arrecife to rob her. For these acts, his imprisonment has been decreed.

As reported this Monday by the Superior Headquarters of the Canary Islands Police in a statement, the agents of the National Police became aware of these events after agents of the Local Police of Arrecife appeared in police stations to report what happened in said premises of the capital of Lanzarote.

The detainee, a 24-year-old man with numerous police records, allegedly threatened the owner with a knife, forcing her to go to the place where the safe of the premises was, taking a total of 3,000 euros that were inside.

According to the version provided by the victim, the man locked her in a room in the establishment to carry out the robbery.

After the statement of the police officers of Arrecife, the National Police initiated an investigation with which they managed to identify the alleged perpetrator, who has been placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which ordered his immediate imprisonment for crimes of robbery with violence and illegal detention.
