Magistrate Carlos Vielba has published the sentence of Moumad Bachir, accused of the death of Mohamed Oould Mohamed Lafdal, a shepherd who worked on a farm owned by the businessman and president of the Unión Deportiva Lanzarote, Victoriano Elvira.
After the popular jury made its verdict public last week, declaring the accused guilty, the magistrate has issued his ruling sentencing him as criminally responsible for the crime of homicide to a penalty of twelve years, six months and one day of prison with the accessory of absolute disqualification for the time of the sentence and as criminally responsible for the crime of robbery with violence to a penalty of five years in prison with the accessory of disqualification for the exercise of the right to passive suffrage for the time of the sentence.
Likewise, Moumad Bachir must compensate the legitimate heirs of Mohamed Ould Mohamed Lafdal with the amount of 90,000 euros, for his death, and 1,280 euros for the money stolen.
