A man suffered minor multiple contusions in an accident in Costa Teguise, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
The accident took place around 12:30 PM this Tuesday, May 19, on Avenida del Golf in the coastal town. One of the cars overturned sideways after the impact.
After being alerted by CECOES, Local Police officers, the Guardia Civil, an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, and firefighters were dispatched.
Emergency personnel had to extract the driver of the overturned vehicle as he was trapped inside. They shored up and wedged the car to extract him at a zero angle. Once outside, he was moved on a stretcher to the ambulance and, after being stabilized by paramedics, was evacuated to Molina Orosa.
Police officers were in charge of regulating traffic and carried out the corresponding accident report.
