The Tías Volunteer Firefighters Association (Boluntis) had to go to a new fire in Puerto del Carmen, this time in a vehicle. This fire occurred after [Boluntis issued a press release requesting citizen collaboration to clarify five fires that had broken out in several containers ->51404] during the last two weeks.
This same Friday night, specifically, at 9:20 p.m., Boluntis again received an alert from the Emergency Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112 indicating that a vehicle had suffered a fire on Guatifay Street with Tinguatón Street.
A Boluntis rapid intervention vehicle and a fire engine were moved to this place. Boluntis, in collaboration with the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium, managed to extinguish this fire. Agents from the Tías Local Police and agents from the Civil Guard also attended the event, who were in charge of instructing the proceedings.
This has not been the only fire that has broken out in Puerto del Carmen in recent days. Boluntis believes that there are one or two individuals who, apparently, have set fire to several containers on Rociega and Frankfurt streets. "It's always in the same area, at a similar time," said the Head of Boluntis, Rene van Leeuwen.
