New accident in Las Grietas: a tourist with a fractured ankle is rescued

The firefighters took the injured man out with a rope traction system and later transferred him to the ambulance.

Rescue of an injured tourist in Las Grietas

New accident in Las Grietas. Firefighters rescued a 60-year-old tourist who had an accident inside Las Grietas in Montaña Blanca, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The injured man had a fracture in his right ankle.

Once alerted by the CECOES, an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, Local Police, Civil Protection, Boluntis and firefighters went to the scene. Once on the scene, the emergency teams removed the affected person from the crack with a rope traction system and later transferred him on a stretcher to the SUC ambulance.

Finally, the paramedics have transferred him by ambulance to the Doctor Molina Orosa Hospital.
