The man who allegedly stabbed another person last Saturday in Arrecife has been admitted to Tahíche prison. The accused, Abdeltebir K., 44 years old, was arrested hours after he allegedly committed the assault on Almería Street.
According to police sources, two citizens of Moroccan origin got involved in a fight, for reasons that agents are still investigating.
During the dispute, A.K. brandished a knife of about 10 centimeters with which he allegedly gave several stab wounds to the victim in different parts of the body.
Health personnel had to move to the scene and the wounded man, 37 years old, had to be transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital given the seriousness of his condition, as confirmed by these same sources.
The National Police managed to capture the alleged culprit hours after the event and transferred him to the Arrecife police station. On Sunday morning, A.K. was brought before the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 3 of Arrecife, which ordered his admission to the Tahíche penitentiary center.
