Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium had to rescue a man who was unconscious and convulsing after suffering a fall in a rocky and difficult to access area in Puerto del Carmen.
The events took place at 2:07 p.m. in front of the Tiñosa dock in the coastal town of Tías, when the Canary Islands Emergency Service requested the collaboration of firefighters in the area.
Alerted by the Emergency Coordination Center, the firefighters went to the area to move the affected person from the rocks to the ambulance as they could not be moved by the paramedics.
As it was a difficult access area, the firefighters had to use a nest stretcher. Once stabilized on the stretcher, he was transferred to the ambulance and the service was completed.
