Affected Containers in Puerto del Carmen

Volunteer firefighters from Lanzarote put out a fire in two containers on Teide Street, in Puerto del Carmen, early this Monday morning, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

The troops went to the scene at around 00.10 hours where the Local Police of Tías and Civil Protection were already present. It involved two organic waste containers that were emitting smoke but were not damaged, remaining fully operational. Once the extinction was completed, first with water and then with foam, the service was concluded.

On the other hand, around the same time, a trash can was burning on Ana Suárez Street, in Arrecife. The firefighters went to Los Pinos Park and when they arrived the trash can was completely charred. The fire also affected the cork floor of the playground. The troops put out the fire and ended the service.
