José Juan Cruz Saavedra presented last Thursday, April 13, the PSOE list in Tías with "the aim of achieving an absolute majority in the City Council," they emphasize from the party. The event took place in El Fondeadero in Puerto del Carmen, which "registered a full house to support Cruz's candidacy and his team."
To achieve an absolute majority, the candidate offers "an efficient team, a clear line of work, seriousness and political responsibility, commitment to the people, governability and stability," they say. José Juan Cruz stated: "My guarantee is my experience and the work well done seeking solutions to the problems and needs of each resident of the municipality."
Likewise, he "detailed the management carried out in the last four years," they add. "Within the transparency that characterizes us, on the city council's website you can see, with photos and budgets, the 78 works executed during these four years with an investment of almost 16 million euros," clarified the socialist candidate.
"Experience and desire to continue doing things well"
On the other hand, among the major projects for the immediate future, he cited the Tías Treatment Plant, "which will allow expanding the treatment capacity by 50%, up to 12,000 cubic meters per day of capacity and with an investment of more than 21 million euros." Cruz ended his speech praising "the capacity of the team that accompanies him": "we guarantee our experience and our desire to continue doing things well."
Loli Corujo, PSOE candidate for the presidency of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, also spoke at the event. Corujo assured: "No one will argue with me if I say that Pepe Juan deserves to be mayor again, but they will agree with me on something much more important: Tías deserves to have José Juan Cruz as mayor again and the people of this municipality know that." She also stressed that "I feel hopeful because I know that next May 28 Tías, once again, will be socialist."

The candidate remembered Florencio Suárez: "his rigorous work and his commitment to always be on the side of those who needed us most, has made him a reference for our party and, more importantly, for the people who give us their trust again and again," she says. Florencio "left us a wonderful history and example, but, above all, he left us a team of women and men who are, and I say it with pride, worthy heirs of his legacy."
Finally, she praised the management carried out by the party in the municipality: "Tías is today a dynamic, leading municipality capable of exercising its role as one of the engines of the island's economy." Therefore, "I am proud of our mayor and his team; of sharing values and militancy with all the people of the Tías group."
