Woman injured in Las Grietas

A Polish tourist, around 50 years old, has been rescued after suffering a fall in Las Grietas in the municipality of Tías. The event took place around 2:27 p.m. this Sunday, February 12, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

Once alerted by the CECOES, agents from the Local Police, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and firefighters were dispatched.

The affected woman, who had a possible sprain in her left ankle, was attended by the paramedics. Once the immobilization splint was placed on her leg, they proceeded to transfer the injured woman on a Kong stretcher to the ambulance. She was subsequently transferred in the ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
