Van overturns on the road to Famara

Four people, including a girl and a baby, were injured this Saturday in the overturning of a van on the road that connects Teguise with Famara, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:46 p.m., at which time the Emergency Coordination Center was alerted. Agents of the Civil Guard, the Local Police, two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service and firefighters went to the scene.

When the firefighters arrived, the occupants were sitting outside the vehicle and "apparently without seriousness" and they attended to them, cleaned a wound that the father had on his hand, when holding the baby in his arms they waited for the arrival of the paramedics to immobilize him.

Subsequently, the medical personnel arrived and the firefighters collaborated to transfer them to the ambulances on rescue boards. They are then evacuated to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

The Civil Guard was in charge of carrying out the corresponding report.
