A driver's escape after damaging another vehicle has led to an arrest in Arrecife for drug trafficking.
Police sources specified this Wednesday that, after a neighbor reported the license plate of the car that caused the damage to his vehicle to the National Police Station, agents from the Local Citizen Security Brigade located and identified the reported citizen, Santiago G.T., a native of Las Palmas, 33 years old and detained on 9 previous occasions for robbery, drug trafficking and damages, among other crimes.
The officers conducted a superficial search of the person and his vehicle, finding in the possession of the aforementioned individual a small bag containing a plastic bag with 3.3 grams of cocaine, a ball of hashish weighing 28.34 grams, and a bottle with 24 Trankimazin pills, as well as 675.94 euros in fractional currency, a dagger and a stiletto inside the car.
Given the evidence of a possible drug trafficking crime due to the different substances seized and the money confiscated, the agents arrested and placed Santiago at the disposal of the court, together with the seized effects and after completing the police proceedings.
