Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have extinguished the flames of a house and a lamppost in two different municipalities of Lanzarote.
First, the firefighters intervened at 4:20 p.m. in the fire of the house in Las Puntas street, in Playa Honda (San Bartolomé).
Alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) and also by telephone call, they moved to the outside of an Industrial warehouse. The Local Police had also moved to the place.
Upon arrival, they verified that it was a garbage can fire inside a pergola that was burning in its entirety. Therefore, they proceeded to extinguish it with water.
Secondly, at 9:30 p.m. they went to the fire of a lamppost in Punta Mujeres (Haría). Alerted by the CECOES and later a telephone call, they moved to the area.
Once on the place, they verified that it was a fire that occurred as a result of the heating of the plastics of the tulip. Therefore, they disconnected the electrical energy and managed to extinguish the fire. Immediately afterwards, the cables and the fuse holder were re-inserted inside the lamppost to end the incident.
