A 49-year-old man had to be rescued on Saturday morning after an accident in the vicinity of El Risco beach, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
At approximately 10:09 a.m., the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security received an alert requesting assistance for a person who was in a difficult-to-access area and had trauma to the foot.
Local Police officers, the Emergency Consortium, and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.
The firefighters arrived on a jet ski, provided initial care, and evacuated him to the Órzola area. Once on land, the healthcare personnel assisted the affected individual, who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented a moderate trauma to one leg, barring complications. Finally, he was evacuated by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
